Frequently Asked

Do I need prior experience driving an electric vehicle?

No prior EV experience is required. At the start of every rental, we walk through the vehicle's key functions — charging port, regenerative braking, range display, and any features specific to the model you'll be using. The handover takes around 15 minutes.

What is included in the charging station map?

The map covers charging locations in and around Tawau, Sandakan, and the East Coast of Sabah. It notes charger types (AC and DC where available), estimated charging durations, and nearby amenities. For three-day and weeklong plans, we also include inter-state stops if your route crosses into Sarawak or the Peninsula.

What happens if I can't find a charger during the trip?

You can call us directly. We maintain an up-to-date list of backup charging options and can help you identify the nearest available point. All vehicles are handed over with a full charge. For longer arrangements, we also recommend a conservative daily range target to keep a buffer.

How does the pricing work for each plan?

The EV Day Rental is priced at RM 600, the Three-Day EV Plan at RM 2,200, and the Weeklong EV Touring arrangement at RM 4,500. These are flat rates that include the vehicle, charging documentation, and the support services described in each plan. Charging costs during the trip are paid separately at each station.

What documents do I need to bring?

A valid Malaysian driving licence (or international driving permit for foreign nationals) and a national identity card or passport. We'll go through the rental agreement together at the point of handover.

Is the vehicle covered by insurance during the rental?

Yes. Each vehicle carries standard Malaysian third-party motor insurance valid throughout the rental period. We'll explain the coverage scope and any excess applicable during the handover briefing.

Can I extend my rental while I'm already on the road?

Extensions are subject to vehicle availability. If you'd like to extend, contact us as early as possible — preferably the day before your scheduled return. We'll confirm availability and discuss the adjusted arrangement.
