Each arrangement at Karvelin follows the same underlying process: the vehicle is prepared to a defined standard, the customer receives relevant charging documentation, and the handover is completed jointly using a readiness checklist. What changes between plans is the scope of the support provided.
Day rentals are straightforward — a compact EV, a local charging map, and a 15-minute handover briefing. Multi-day plans add route planning and check-in support. The weeklong arrangement includes a full itinerary and a return review session. Every customer gets direct telephone access throughout.

EV Day Rental
A single-day electric vehicle rental in the compact class. Suitable for errands around Tawau, a day trip to Semporna, or any trip you can complete in one day. Includes a charging station map and a brief on charging etiquette and time planning — particularly useful if you haven't driven an EV before or are unfamiliar with the local charging network.

Three-Day EV Plan
A three-day arrangement with a mid-range electric vehicle, suited for extended regional trips from Tawau. The plan includes a charging route plan prepared for your intended journey, a mid-period check-in on day two, and reference notes for inter-state charging — useful if your route extends toward Sandakan or into Sarawak.

Weeklong EV Touring
A seven-day electric vehicle touring arrangement designed for inter-state travel across East Malaysia. The plan includes a full planned charging itinerary suited to longer journeys, ongoing telephone support throughout the week, and an end-of-trip review session. Suited for those wishing to explore the Sabah highway network or cross into Sarawak.

What Every Rental Includes
These operating standards apply across all three plans, regardless of duration.
Full Charge at Handover
Recorded on the readiness checklist at departure. Vehicles are prepared to a full or near-full battery for each rental.
Current Motor Insurance
Malaysian third-party motor insurance verified before each rental. Policy documents available at handover on request.
Joint Readiness Checklist
Customer and staff complete the checklist together at both departure and return. Tyres, charging cable, mirrors, interior, and existing marks all noted.
Direct Support Line
Our team's telephone number is provided at handover for direct contact during the rental period. Not an automated service.
Data Handled Under PDPA 2010
Customer data collected for rental purposes is processed in accordance with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010.
Vehicle Systems Briefing
Key EV functions — charge indicators, regenerative braking, charging port — explained at handover for every customer, including experienced EV drivers switching models.
Fixed Rates, No Additions
All prices cover the vehicle and the support services described. Charging costs at stations are separate.
